Rising From the Ashes

Painting of planned cabins by Robert Willis

Our first two new cabins are now built. They are a "Katrina" cabin design, as seen in this painting by Dorland Artist in Residence Robert Willis. To get all the latest information about the rebuilding of Dorland, click the painting.

Coming Very Soon!

We're excited to announce the Dorland Community, a place for Dorland Alumni and friends to post news, memories, photos, and communicate with old and new friends.

Dorland Mountain Arts Colony

is a non-profit artists community set on 300 acres along a ridge overlooking the Temecula Valley in Southern California. The colony covers about 10 acres with the rest of the land left in its natural state.

In May, 2004, a wildfire swept through Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, destroying all ten buildings. Rebuilding is currently underway.
